Jesus says:
Mark 10:15 "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
As humans, when we grow up and see the evils of this world, we tend to grow skeptical, untrusting, and sometimes even bitter because our innocence has been tainted. If we willingly receive the evils of the world into our minds, we become worrisome, and our faith may take a hit. However, when evil things happen, we should not receive it. We should rebuke it. Jesus rebuked demons (Luke 4:35); Jesus rebuked the wind & raging waters (Luke 8:24). Do you see?
From the evils of demons to the aggression of nature, Jesus did not lay down and receive it. He rebuked it and we should aspire to be more like Christ.
Lesson:
Rebuke the evils of this world and have faith in Jesus to keep from being tainted. Jesus gave us power to cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead, and speak in tongues. Purpose in your heart to hold on to the childlike faith Christ wants in us.
